Dopo gli studi alla Tisch School of the Arts inizia la carriera di regista, sceneggiatore e produttore televisivo. Al successo di Super Size Me, seguono vari documentari come Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? (2008) e Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! (2017) un’altra indagine sulle insidie delle industrie alimentari.
