Laureatosi in Economia e poi in Teoria e pratica dei Media, lavora come montatore, produttore e regista presso l’emittente televisiva tedesca SWR - ARD. Nel 2004 viene selezionato per la Discovery Campus Master School sulla co-produzione internazionale in ambito nonfiction. Tra i suoi documentari più noti, si ricordano: The Tunnel (1999), The Heart of Jenin (2008), The Forecaster (2015).
