Ha studiato storia e geografia a Berna e successivamente scienze della comunicazione e giornalismo a Friburgo. Ha realizzato il suo primo lungometraggio, Warten auf die Zukunft - Vier junge Albaner erzählen aus ihrem Alltag im Kosovo, nel 2007.
