Nasce in Danimarca nel 1962. È tra i più importanti documentaristi danesi. Nel 2003 vince il premio per il miglior documentario al TV Festival con Children Sorrow. Riceve due candidature agli oscar televisivi danesi (1999 e 2000), una candidatura al Prix Europa (1999), e nel 2000 per il più prestigioso premio giornalistico danese, il Cavling-prisen.
