biography
Nasce a Debrecen nel 1960. Dal 1982 al 1986 lavora come assistente alla regia presso il Pannonia Film Studios. Dal 1987 al 1990 studia a Budapest, presso l'Academy of Drama and Film. Trascorre un anno a Parigi per studiare alla Louis Lumière Film School e pubblica dei saggi sulla prestigiosa rivista cinematografica francese CinémAction. Diplomatosi in regia, realizza alcuni documentari televisivi. Nel 1995 fonda una casa di produzione, la Engram Film.
