Morin
biography
Il suo vero nome è Nahum; è nato a Parigi nel 1921. Mor è il cognome che assume durante la Resistenza, traendolo da una sua compagna. Aderisce al Partito Comunista Francese, da cui è espulso nel 1951 per un articolo apparso sul France-Observateur. Sociologo al C.N.R.S. (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), si dedica negli anni Cinquanta a ricerche, rimaste celebri, sul divismo, i giovani e la cultura di massa. Collabora al France-Observateur e poi al Nouvel Observateur. Fonda, nel 1956, con altri intellettuali transfughi del P.C.F la rivista Arguments che uscirà fino al 1962. Nel 1967, con R. Barthes e G. Friedmann, fonda la rivista Communications. Nel 1998 è nominato Presidente del Comitato Scientifico per la riforma dei saperi nelle scuole secondarie superiori.
