Da anni studia le foreste tropicali e l'impatto su di esse dei cambiamenti climatici. Fotografo e autore di numerosi reportage, guida spedizioni sul campo, utilizzando i mezzi di trasporto tradizionali locali. Le ricerche condotte a lungo sull'isola del Madagascar lo portano a realizzare Baobabs between Land and Sea, suo primo lungometraggio.
