Nata nel 1969, ha studiato Scienze della Comunicazione prima di passare al Netherlands Film and Television Academy nel 2001. Autrice di documentari tra cui Westwood Loves You premiato al Netherland Intenet Film Festival nel 2001. L'anno seguente con Mohammed vince il Prince Bernhard Culture Prize.
