Vive a Filadelfia, ha lavorato a documentari, brevi progetti creativi, video musicali trasmessi su MTV e presentati a festival cinematografici di tutto il mondo. Nel 2008 è stato direttore della fotografia alla serie "2008 Uncut", prodotta da Independent Film Channel e incentrata sulle recenti elezioni presidenziali negli USA. Nonostante gli impegni professionali, Watson trova sempre il tempo per girare film sull'ambiente e sull'uso della bicicletta.
