Organiseret vildskab

Denmark is the second country in the world for the proportion of land used for farming, immediately after Bangladesh. For this reason, it is estimated to have lost 80% of its living species in the last twenty years. Due to the urgency of dealing with this problem, an ambitious project was created to rewild the country, with the aim of restoring, at least in part, the biodiversity it once had. We follow this initiative as it evolves in the northern region of Hammer Bakker: from the very first meetings to the implementation of tangible change. Through this path of observation and gathering of first-person accounts, the director reflects on the confusion arising when we try to restore our connection with nature. Are humans able to work together to bring it back to life? And deep down, how wild do they really want it to be?
