“Your million votes make the course of history irreversible: the train of victory is on its way”. With this short documentary Ivens openly supported Allende's candidacy at the Chilean 1964 elections. Le train de la victoire (The Train of Victory) follows the political campaign that ended with the victory of the conservative candidate Frei. Four years later Allende will be elected President of Chile with a large majority of votes.
