biography

Born in 1911, he is an English director; he started his career as a theatrical actor. Soon enough in 1932 he shifted to the cinema industry, for which he worked as screenplay writer, producer and director. In 1943 he debuted as director and in 1955 he directed one of British science fiction masterpieces: The Quatermass Experiment. Among his films are: Quatermass II, The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas e When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth.
