Born in Tehran, he has lived in Toronto for 10 years. He made his debut with the short documentary Voorje (2008), presented at the 2009 edition of Hot Docs, which he wrote, directed, shot and edited, as well as Tanbour (2009) and Teheran 24 (2009).
