biography
He studied literature at Sam Houston State University and founded the Austin Film Society and Detour Productions, both indie art cinema studios, in 1985. His films include Before Sunrise (1995), winner of the Golden Bear in Berlin, Before Sunset (2004), Boyhood (2014) and Where’d you go, Bernadette (2019).
