biography
Born in Algiers, he has been living in Switzerland since 1972; he has studied in Paris and in the United States, then he has worked as photography director in many films before turning to directing in 1989. In 1998 he won the Swiss Award as Best Film with Waalo Fendo, based on the problems of migrants in Milan.
