biography
He trained as a biologist (Vilnius University), is pursuing his career in natural documentary filmmaking (film directing and cinematography). In 2012 The Field of Magic received the national Lithuanian cinema award Silver Crane for best documentary feature. He has collaborated with film directors Šarūnas Bartas, Sergey Loznitsa, and Audrius Stonys. The Ancient woods was premiered at 2017 IDFA.
