He is an ethnomusicologist and conducts research primarily in Sardinia and Trentino. He collaborated on cataloging the Fondo Roberto Leydi, Switzerland. He teaches at the conservatories of Cagliari and Sassari. He published a CD-book Ovidio Addis, I canti del Monteferru.
