biography
He is an Ikpeng Indian of the Xingù Park, in the north of Mato Grosso. Kumarè started his career as a cameraman in 1977, shooting the documentary Moyngo. O sonho de Maragareum on the initiation ceremony of two children from his village. In 2001 he made a film on the Wagrè ritual and the documentary From Ikpeng Children to the World.
