biography

He launched the Path to Freedom project in 2001 in an effort to raise public awareness about how to become self-sufficient in food supply while utilizing renewable energy. Since the mid-1980s, Dervaes and his three children have transformed the land around their Los Angeles home into a thriving urban garden that allows this family of four to sustain themselves and to turn a profit from the surplus produced.
