He worked as an animator on films such as Monsters, Inc. (2001) by Pete Docter, Lee Unkrich and David Silverman and Finding Nemo (2003) by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich, before making his directorial debut in 2008 with Horton Hears a Who!, followed two years later by Jonah Hex.
