biography
He began his career as a stage actor and then in the 1980s he starred in films under directors like Marco Bellocchio, Luigi Comencini, Gabriele Salvatores, and Ettore Scola. He combines his passion for stage and screen by writing, drawing on the metaphor of journey as an inner search. In 2021 he was nominated for a David di Donatello for his role in Gianni Amelio’s Hammamet.
