biography

Born in Burkina Faso, in 1951, he studied history and cinema in Paris. After returning to Burkina Faso, he became Director of the National Cinema Centre of Ouagadougou and held cinema courses. Besides being one of the most popular directors and having realized classics such as Wend Kuuni, Zan Boko, Raabi, Buud Yam, Kaboré is a reference figure for the African cinema: he has been Secretary General of the Fepaci and Director of the magazine «Écrans d'Afrique».
