biography
Born in Jerusalem to Palestinian parents, he graduated from Zeit University with a degree in Social Sciences, working as a researcher between 1980 and 1987, before studying Anthropology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Subsequently, until 1993, he worked as a photojournalist for various international agencies and magazines, becoming one of the most well-known and appreciated professionals in the field. At the same time, he began attending and holding filmmaking courses and workshops between Palestine and Italy. Among the documentaries he directed are Milan 24 Hours (1998), Limits of a Dream (1999), Song on a Narrow Path (2001), Palestine... All Is Fire (2006), Jerusalem Back and Forth (2005), as well as the theatrical production Reflection (1994) and numerous photographic exhibitions in Europe between 1989 and 1994.
